Check charging system message just popped up. The gauge reads normal and the battery light isn't on. Just rolled over 250k miles and this is the 1st time I've seen this message. Any ideas?

Mine was doing the exact same thing and in a matter of days my alternator almost completely died... My guess, do like I did and change the alternator then get the battery checked at a shop, I went with a 150 amp from DB electrical

As I was headed home from work that day, the gauge dropped all the way and I knew it was the alternator. I replaced it in the parking lot of auto zone and have been back rolling with no problems. Thanks
