Hi

Got a nice ding over winter in the hood about 1/2 an inch above the leading edge.

Thinking of covering it with an aeroskin deflector like this

But as mine is a metallic blue Expedition my thinking is chrome will look better.

But everywhere I look shipping to Canada is stupid expensive, 200 bucks plus taxes

Anyone know where to lay hands on one of these?

I've seen the chrome ones on F150's and other full size trucks. Its a bit much, and I'm a fan of chrome.

Amazon.CA looks extremely reasonable. The chrome Auto Ventshade #622097 is $145.34 shipped.
The Aeroskin you pictured tapes to the hood itself, it isn't a traditional bugshield, but will cover that ding just as well. Its $89.99 on Amazon.CA (item 322097)

Nice!

I hear you on the chrome bug deflectors being a bit OTT but hoping the flush mount is a bit smaller and more restrained than the normal bolt on chrome bug deflector

it seems to be pretty thin in the middle which I am hoping gets me away from the whole bling look.

at that price delivered I will probably order dry fit and discard if I dont like it

I have hunted online for an image of a chrome one on an expedition but cant find one. ah well sometimes you have to pay to play

Thanks

I had a clear bra installed on the front of my hood. It is pretty near invisible on the white paint. I was warned that some car washes have been known to leave scratches in them, and told to only go to the "brushless" ones. I've aged to the point where this vehicle is too big and too time consuming to wash by hand so I don't. If the bra fails to protect the paint, I'll report here, but I know it won't get pulled off by a car wash.

I also have a clear bra on the front of my Expedition and have used only the brushless car washes so far with good success. I've only noticed one rock chip down low on the bumper that appears to have punctured the film, so not too bad so far.

Any Photos of the Chrome Deflector on a 2018 or 2019 Expedition out there?
We have Sliver Expo and would like to see if the Chrome works with the Limited grill.
thanks!
