Chrome Trim Delete

Have a ‘15 Limited and want to black out the 4 chrome window sill trim pieces (under the windows where keypad is) along with long horizontal “EXPEDITION” insert across tailgate. Has anyone removed & painted these pieces with success? Does not seem to be an aftermarket option

They can be removed, just be careful not to bend them, front mirrors have to come off along with the door panels to get to the bolts.

I'd personally go the vinyl wrap or plasti dip route. Paint means you wont have a vehicle while it's done plus it'll likely cost 10x as much and its permanent. Should you sell/trade the others can be put back to stock in short order.
