I'm sure that you can do one yourself, thru the vacuum line (I think from read sometimes ago....) for the master brake assist. Not sure which one tho..

WallyWorld charges 20 bucks to do it for you last time I did. They hook up a air line and cleaner to a tube and run it til its empty. Just FYI if you go that way.

Or follow this write up on removal of TB and cleaning by hand which I think is the only way to really clean it. http://www.fordf150.net/howto/throttlebodyclean.php

Or Seafoam it. See this link. http://expeditionforum.com/f27/seafoam-walkthrough-2001-expy-7500/

Cheers

I've used sea foam to good effect. But to each his own, you can try other stuff too.

No grease zerk on the ball joints or tie rod ends if they are factory. Most aftermarket ball joints will come with one though

If you know anybody that's an Amsoil dealer, they make an awesome cleaner/degreaser called PowerFoam. It safely cleans the throttle body or anything else under the hood. You can order it directly from Amsoil if you sign up for their membership thing. I wish it was available at any Walmart, but it's not. I buy it by the case every few years, it's good stuff.

The throttle body has a coating on it to resist buildup. This is why the factory recommends not using any solvents. The way I look at it is if it is coated it is not working. You can try mild cleaner first if there is indeed buildup. Traditional carb cleaner is very strong solvent and will remove coating if any.
