I am having trouble with the fan for the front climate control. The speed will not adjust. It sometimes will be going slow and sometimes fast but will not adjust. The digital display shows the fan speed changing but no effect on the fan. This happens in both auto and manual modes.
I am thinking that there is a speed sensor for the fan that is either unplugged or is defective. My question is this sensor internal to the fan and I should change that or is there another sensor somewhere else that I need to change?
Of course I could be off track completely so any help would be appreciated.

No CEL and no codes from the OBDE reader.

Thanks
Tony

I had this happen to mne last summer.

Before I could bring it in for service, I changed the head unit on my stereo. I had to dixconnect the climate control head to remove the bezel for the stereo install.

When I put everything back together, the climate control worked fine. Still does today.

Try pulling the fuse, or if you feel comfortable removing the dash bezel and climate control head, pull the connctors on the back. This should reset the unit.

Good luck.
