Climate control question

Hi guys I am new to the group here. I recently purchased a 04 Eddie Bauer my question is when I hit the auto button on the climate control the a/c light always turns on I can hit that button and turn it off just not sure if it is supposed to come on?

what temp do you have it set for?

mine does the same thing and im the only owner of the truck...its not broke...if u dont want the a/c just use the air flow setting that u desire...head...feet...both...etc
