I have a 2010 Expedition with 150,000 that runs great, no codes and no issues. However as it approaches freezing, the problem starts.in the 30s its hard slow start and below that it's a no start. It floods and absolutely won't start.
So far I've,: changed plugs, tested coils, replaced injectors, cleared the KAM, cleaned MAF and new air filter.

The fuel rails pressured to 50psi ignition on and levels out around 40psi power off and held that over night.
It's also keeping about 40psi while running.

I have a list of things to try next but I would rather see if anyone with better knowledge than mine has any ideas what I'm missing.

Check to see if your IAT sensor is hooked up and accurate. Faulty MAP reading can cause rich issues also.
Are you using a heavy engine oil?

Having the exact same issue with 2016 50K miles. During cold months - even when kept in the garage - the car is flooded at start....must push the gas peddle to the floor (shuts off gas) and then pump and floor the peddle to keep it running....lots of smoke fumes and lots of water condensation pushed out weep holes. Once it's running a minute or so....high idle then calms down and runs like a top. As weather warms, the very slightest starting issue and no smoke/fumes at all. All Seems temperature dependent. Cold outside - flooded. Warmer weather - virtually no issues.

Other postings suggested ECT as issue, but suggested when it fails the engine temperature gauge on the cluster would not work. My engine temp gauge works fine.

Other blogs have mentioned cleaning or changing out the MAF clears the issue. Anyone here can confirm MAF might be the culprit? Other thoughts? Thanks!
