Is their any one out there that has a 1997 eddie bauer expedition without sun roof that can tell me if the overhead console "information center" is suppost to tell you the outside temp? I can't get the compass or the temp to work. the compess just stays on "S" no matter what direction I go. I tried to reset it acording to the owners manual but I can't get it to work. The temp doesn't appear at all but I don't know if it is suppost to. Any information or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

it wont tell you the temp... theres a process to reset the compass in the owners manual... you have to push a button and drive very slowly in a continuous circle

i know that mine doesnt work either. Havent tried the reset thing. I thought that since i dont have the digital ac and i would like to have the temp reading that I could just get a mirror that did that. Mine stays on NE all the time as well. Did you make sure to do the reset in an area that had no electric lines or anyother interference around?
