"Compass No Response" Error

Hello all, I'm new to the forum as I just picked up my first Expedition last week. I searched for this topic but found no relevant information so I thought I'd ask. When I start the car I get an error on the message center that reads: "Compass No Response". The compass seems to work correctly so I have no idea what this error means. Is this a calibration issue perhaps or is there some kind of part that has gone bad? Thanks for your help!

sounds like a calerbration issue to me or the compass is not sending info to the computer i would first try to recalerbrat the compass first it is in the owners manual on how to do it

That's what I figured, I'll give it a try when I get home...now I just need to find a place to drive around in 5 circles to calibrate
