console trim pieces

I am having some issues with the paint cracking on the silver/Greg trim near the console. Is this a common issue and any idea for repair/paint. It is also happening on the HVAC controls and radio, but I will be replacing the head unit soon enough. Thanks for your help.

I am guessing that is going to be the best solution. I haven't found any replacement pieces. Any ideas for paint, maybe I could dip it?

Yeah I need to see what ur talking about. Do u mean the silver part on the outsides of the center console?

I f0cking knew it. Had the same issue with my 07 and just saw one small mark on 2012. I wouldn't dip that bc the same ***** gonna happen.

Any warranty left? I would try it anyway you never know what they(Ford) will cover and when.
