I drove it 71 miles today on the interstate at 70-75 mph and it didn't act up at all........I think the problem is cured.

im having exact same issues...code p1299...ive changed tstat, cylinder head temp sensor, havent changed water pump yet...2003 expy xlt 4x4 5.4l
