Hi new to the forum found this site a couple days ago while looking for a Expedition.
i went and looked at 2 today and had someone issues with them when test driving.
Look at a 98 xlt body is in pretty good shape, motor looked good. Interior will need some work. Tears mainly and worn leather.
Only major concern I have is when I put it in 4wd and stared driving it would blink then switch to A4WD then blink a couple times and go back to 4wd and kept doing this. Thin max speed i was driving was 45 mph on asphalt.
They wanted $2000 cash.
Then the 2nd on was a little better condition and maybe 10,000 miles less.
But while driving the overdrive light on the gear selector arm started to blink. From what i could find so far is either needs fluid and filter change or could be sensors.
Price wise he stared at $3500 cash and showed me the bill from the auction and some repairs he has about $2300 in it. This one i probably can get for about $2800-$3000
Anyone have any advice on what to look at for the issues on each Expedition?
