Cracking sound in drivers door

Any body else have what sounds like a cracking or creaking noise coming from what sounds like the drivers door? I have an 06 Expedition and had the same sound in my 06 F150. It's driving me nuts. Any way to stop it or any idea what it is? I can't be the only one to have 2 fords that had the same noise. Appreciate any thoughts or help identifying what it is.

I put some WD40 in the door jam... I've had a few vehicles make a creaking noise just happens from a lot of use... unless the noise is coming from somewhere else within the door?

Drown the door hinges in WD-40. Have had to do this to a handful of vehicles regardless of make or age. Hell, my dad's 09 Caddy CTS had this issue on the pass side door, except he made the dealer fix it under warranty.
