Well asked this question in a previous thread with another topic, didnt get much a response from it so going to try to let it have its own thread. Has anyone ever had the cruise control just not even turn on, I get nothing from my 05 Expy EB first i thought it had to do with the relay was missing, at least the only realy the manual says has to do with the "Speed Control". I brought the manual to ford to by the relay they could not figure it out by the book so one of there people came out and just pulled the relay next to it thats what is in now. Still no dice when you get up to cruise control speed you can turn it on and you get nothing..... Any Ideas is there another fuse box besides the one on the passenger side?

 My problem with the cruise control is the coast doesn't work. I can accelerate and hold and resume, just no coast.

The cruise control light should come on whenever it is activated.

My bad, not the cruise control light the lights on the buttons, which would make me think it is getting power, the cruise control light never turns on no matter when you turn it on. According to the manual it says you have to set it for the light to even turn on but even when I try and set it, I get nothing.

In manual, it says to check fuse #5 7.5amp, #12 10amp and #28 5amp.
It also says to check the speed servo relay r302. But if all your fuses and relays check out your light should still light up. I read this on the internet it might help...........

(just fixed my Cruise control problem. It didn't work at all, no light in the dash either. What had happened was, I had changed the brake booster some months back and when the brake pedal is disconnected from the booster shaft, it allows the pedal to raise too high. It will contact the cruise control disconnect switch to the left of the brake switch. To find the switch, look close and there is a "L" bracket welded on the brake pedal and the cruise switch contacts this bracket. Well this switch is a self-adjusting switch designed to be installed with the pedal at least an inch or so depressed. When the pedal is released it will contact the switch and push the shaft into the switch to the determined setting and it will lock into that position. I was able to pull the shaft out enough to make contact again and it self adjusted like it's supposed to and now the system works great! What made me go to this switch was by checking power at pin 6 (blk/yellow wire) at the cruise servo connection. This connection has 6 pins and the end pins (1 & 6) both have 12 volts. Mine had no power at pin six, which means the cruise deactivation switch is the problem. Older Expeditions had this switch on the brake master cylinder (recall for fires, etc), but 2003 and up has it on the brake pedal itself. Once I figured out where the switch actually was, it was easy to figure out. )

Well I checked all of those fuses but on mine # 12 is a 15 amp all the fuses look good and the only thing i found in my manual was relay number 5 that said cruise control. I did not notice the L shape bracket going to check again over the weekend and get some pictures only thing i did notice was a 4 pin or so connector just sitting there not plugged into anything way under the dash.

Cruise Control not Functioning

Same issues. I changed the brake booster a few months back and the cruise isn't working. Lights are "on", on the steering wheel but it won't engage. I checked around the brake pedal, but I can't see anything out of sorts. Pictures would be really helpful, if anyone identifies what isn't connecting. I also noticed the connector that is just sitting there??

Thanks in advance!

If it isnt the disconnect switch on the brake pedal, it could be the clock spring. I have a 1996 Mustang Cobra and the dealer replaced the clockspring and the cruise worked again.

My $0.02...

Check the brake pressure switch on the resevoir. They are super easy to change out. It senses when u push the brake by the increase in pressure in the brake lines. This is under the hood, not by the pedal fyi. It should be connected to the resevoir assembly and you do not need to drain ur brake lines to remove it, its just a plug and play swap. Some fluid may come out but it will only be a few drops. There is no sensor on the brake pedal in the expedition. If you were to put a sensor on the pedal it would be going off all the time if you just nudged it. I can pull the wiring schematic if you want.

WD40 worked for me! Spray the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. I will take it apart and clean it better but at least I got a quick fix the night before a 900 mile trip. I sprayed, pushed buttons for a minute and then the next morning I tried it and the one important button I got working was SET.

I was expecting a light on the dash to come on when you hit the on button. Mine does not. But if you press ON really hard, then Set, it worked and the cruise light came on.
