Dash Light Replacement Need Help!

Replacing the dash lights in my expy and cannot get the headlight switch out! (The Vent also)
Already removed all screws and bolts that are necessary but am stuck now....

you need to turn the headlight switch on and pull it out to the fog light position Then take a small screwdriver tip or paper clip and insert in in the bottom of the switch knob That should release the knob. if the know releases then turn the know 180 degrees and insert it back onto the switch shaft Then push it in and rotate it so that the switch assembly pulls out

There is one bolt holding the piece of trim on and i cannot get to it because its such a small area.

there is a good video on youtube about fixing the odometer on the 1st gens that shows how to remove the switch Check it out but you didn't need to remove the switch cover from the looks of your picture

That's where having the service manual helps

hehehehehe you made my mistake. I, too, broke my switch thinking it was just held in by retainers. then I was impressed with the over engineered removal.
