We pulled the trigger a couple months ago on a low mileage 2020 XLT. Had to make a trip before daybreak on a foggy, drizzling morning down a 2 lane blacktop last week. When I saw a deer carcass in my lane, car lights coming the other way kept me in my lane. It was laying in the roadway grove for the right tire with its legs pointed to the shoulder. There was nowhere to go and not enough time to stop. I put the right front tire square in the rump of the dead deer. The impact pitched the Expy up on the left tires as the dear went under the right rear tire.
The vehicle didn't depart the roadway and the steering wheel was still centered when it came back down. My black lab was asleep in the middle row. He came up front with me after it tossed him around. I selected the tire pressure monitor and all 4 were holding the same PSI. I didn't stop till I got to my destination an hour and a half later since the Expy seemed to drive OK. With umbrella in hand I inspected the right front corner expecting to see bent metal and parts missing. To my surprise there wasn't anything wrong that I could see.
I had an appointment at the dealer the next day for an oil change and asked them to see if they saw any damage. They said it looked fine! These things are a tank!!!
