Just installed this backup cam in my 2010 expy. It was not fun but i survived. I will tell whoever attempts this I ended up taking off the Silver housing which holds the 2 bulbs and it made things much easier. (Held on by 4 bolts on the inside). I clipped off the plug on the left bulb and put the white wire w/Purple line to the (+) positive and the 2 blacks to the (-) of the bulb power cord on the camera. Works just fine and comes on when the lights are on, etc. Very clear picture although the lines take some getting used to but I can see how they will benefit giving you a guide for distance.

Have it connected to a JVC KW-NT30HD.

**Thanks again to Rod240sx for the info and pics. I had been searching for a long time until I ran across his post.

No. I'm saying they function as they should. ex. lights on the plate lights are on, lights off they are off. The camera has its on power line, separate from the bulb power.

Hello,
I too am glad to have found this thread as I wanted a stealthy camera for my 04 EB! I see Truckfancy is zero balance for them now. Is this one the same thing you think? Looks like to to me but the part number prefix is different, shrug. Thanks in advance for your input.

I assume it is EchoMaster... but then again, the way companies are these days it wouldn't surprise me if they bought them in from an outside supplier.

EchoMaster

I have an account with them, figured if they had them, I'd order a couple. But no such luck.

Yeah, I thought so. I sent an email to the manufacturer awhile back as well and got no response. Since I found these and they had them in stock, I decided to grab one. I like the fact that I don't have to drill anywhere and it looks OEM. It looks nicer than the other options I was looking at....

Rear view safety has them in stock.....

My beefs with this camera is that is isn't centered (I'm picky) and I don't want to give up my 6000K LED license plate bulbs.

That's alright. My A4 makes up for it. It has a tinted cover and the LEDs that are in that don't spread light for crap. And the factory replacement bulb housings I bought for that thing are a joke.

I've seen several backup cams that are inside oval shaped pieces meant to replace the ford emblem on center of tailgate... ebay is your friend
