Ha, yeah I figured it was some sort of vacuum line but I couldn’t find anything on it. Mines dry rotted as well. However you may not know what I’m trying to say but I think the T on mine is disconnected inside the rubber shroud. I can’t seem to get them connected back togetherSorry but all I can tell you is it's a vacuum line T. One end goes to the throttle body assembly and the other sections go to God knows. I have some dry rotting on mine and would like to replace it so I basically am in your position of not knowing exactly what it is either.
Yeah that would definitely be handy. Unfortunately someone busted out my rear glass in the hatch last night so I guess I have more to add to my list of things the expi needsA mechanic's smoke tester would come in handy for this job ... it'll show all your vacuum leaks and rotted vacuum lines.
