Dome Lights

I have a 2010 Expedition and am having an issue with the dome lights.
If the keys are in the ignition switch, I cannot turn on the dome light individually with the switch. I have to use the general control switch which turns on all dome lights.

Does anyone else have this problem?
Any idea as to how to fix it?

Trying to remember if its my Expedition or another Ford I own/owned. Not near any of them right this moment, but...

The dimmer control knob, the one that increases/decreases your dash lighting. If its rolled all the way down, there is a bottom indention that you roll past - complete opposite would be if its rolled all the way up past the top indention, then the dome lights come one. If its rolled all the way down past the bottom indention, try moving it up one notch, or up several if you want dash lights tonight. Its kind of a stealth mode, handy with a sleeping baby who won't be disturbed by lights when the door opens. Or if you are sneaking in at 3am. Hope this helps & is the issue.

Does the glove box light come on??

If it doesn't then check fuse #25 in the passenger compartment fuse box.

Also check fuse # 9 in the same fuse box

One of them may be blown

The dome lights are powered from two different circuits
