Anyone have a diagram of the wires coming out of the driver door on a 2014 Expedition? Looking to add an auto folding module there, and want to do as little of a hack job as possible.

I do have an eBay factory service manual on its way, but it won’t get here before I wanted to install it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Which specific wires are you looking for in the door ?

And if you have memory seat you’ll have to splice under the seat at the DSM

These are the wires I’m looking to splice into:
    ACC on +
    Mirror switch off +
    Mirror switch on +
    Ground -
    12v constant +
    Door open signal +
    Door close signal +
Output For close of mirror +
Output for open of mirror +

... but upon further thought, I might want to wire the ACC into something like the fuel pump signal or some other feed that is on with the engine instead of ACC. That way when I pull up to my kid’s school and shut off the engine, but sit in my car for 10 minutes, the mirrors would close.

Kia, Hyundai, Toyota & Nissan have a simple circuit for their powerfold mirrors. Although there are youtube videos showing that all the wiring you need to install this can be found in the driver door. Ford had to complicate theirs.

1- Unlike regular setups that have one wire for fold signal and a separate wire for unfold signal. The Expedition powerfold switch sends both signals to the DSM (under the driver seat) through a single wire for both fold & unfold.

2- The DSM in turn sends either the fold or unfold signal back out to both mirrors on two separate wires.

The only way to tackle this, would be under the driver seat.

This is how I would wire it ... Maybe someone has already done this and can share their experience.

Modified Diagram: May not be needed but I added two diodes on wires coming out of the DSM on pins 1 & 2 to control the direction of current.

in this scenario, since the module will mount under the driver seat, you'd have to fetch the door lock and unlock wires from under the door seal.

As far as the ACC feed, well I'll leave that up to the installer. But it seems that this generic module is capable of sensing the ACC wire and keep the mirrors unfolded as long as ACC is detected.
Read that here, If you scroll all the way down the item description

    Hold on. . .

This setup looks like it's designed for OEM mirrors that are folded by pushing and holding a switch. On our trucks, you fold the mirrors by sending a momentary 12V pulse to the Mirror Fold/Unfold line on the Driver Seat Module (DSM). The module then commands the mirrors to move.

    It is ... it's a momentary switch.

What you're seeing up there is a modified diagram to wire the "chinese" smart Auto Fold module inline between the DSM and the Mirrors.

I'll upload the original diagram, so you can see the before and after.
