I have a 2020 Ford Expedition that I bought last fall. When I bought it the intelligent access door handles all worked, but auto-start/stop didn't. Then after taking a long trip (400 miles on salt covered roads last December), the doors would only unlock from the door handles, almost never locking. Eventually I replaced the batteries in all of the key fobs as well as the vehicle battery. Auto-start/stop works now, but I still can't lock the doors using the door handles or the keypad. Any ideas?

Our Expy doors can only be locked by touching those little ridges on the top of the handles with one finger or thumb. GRIPPING the handles is supposed to unlock the doors. Any part of the body inside the door handle will unlock the doors. One must be dexterous; ham-handed won't work.

How does one do that?
Fully charge the battery, then disconnect / re-connect the battery terminals. If it fails, you may have to use ForScan or some scan tool to reset the BMS .
UPDATE: I forgot to mention, I tried what @ZigZagFred suggested, lock by touching those little ridges on the top of the handles with one finger or thumb.

Mine wouldn’t reset even after 24 hours. Manual says 16 will create a reset. I had to do the flashing the lights and dancing a jig to get it to reset.
