Is there any double din headunits that actually fit in a first gen? The diagrams I have seen show it as a double at the face but it shrinks down to single in the back. So is the headunit space big enough for a double din or do I have to bust out the saw and cut away at precious Expy? :superhack:

Btw I was thinking about a Pioneer PVH-P2300DVD if that helps.

I think you mean CRUTCHFIELD.com....

And actually, most of the units that will fit, Crutchfield will tell you they don't. www.sonicelectronix.com seems to be a better site for actual fitting information.

I put my Pioneer 3200BT in my '01 in less than an hour (start to finish) with the help of a Dremel and my 11 y/o son. Any cutting you do is well behind the dash and it is not difficult.
