2016 Expedition EL Platinum...

When the truck is cold and I reverse into the road, then put into drive. Vehicle feels as if there is some type of driveline bind. put in N for a second than drive, disappears. only happens when truck is Cold...sitting.

30k miles, haven't had trans fluid changed yet. Any thoughts are appreciated. Doesn't matter if it's in 2WD or 4A...same issues. stops after a couple minutes of driving.

Does it sort of feel like a slight bang into drive? There is a differential mount arm with a bushing that’s is known to wear a bit and when the differential arm moves it will seem to harshly shift forward to reverse.

I have 2016 EL 4x4 with 50K. At 46K, I began noticing a "binding" or "shudder" at slow turns - left or right - particularly when cold. Never felt it driving straight. I at first thought it was dragging brake caliper.

After 3K miles of this progressively worse "shudder" and lots of non-productive troubleshooting by dealer - I asked them to check the rear end clutch packs (based on information from this forum). Guess what? That was it - bad clutch packs in the rear.

Dealer replaced them under drive train warranty and the truck is as smooth as butter now. I have no doubt the dealer would still be troubleshooting had I not specifically asked that they check the rear clutch packs. Maybe worth a try for you.
