driver side Climate Control temp issue

Temperature setting on driver side only will only lock in at 90 degrees or 60 degrees. Passenger side works fine but it so hot on driver side the system has to be shut off to cool down the truck

I know its 3rd gen but also helps to know what year??

Does it work properly in manual mode? Determining that should help you determine whether to look towards the control panel or a blend door.
