What is up with this thing... It works maybe 1 out of 5 times I try to use it to unlock the doors, and maybe 1 outta 3 when locking them. Do I just lack the touch? Pressing the buttons too fast? Bad relay? ... Thoughts?

try this at night Press any key and the key pad should light up. Press firmly and in the middle of the numbers If the pad doesn't light up you may not have pressed hard enough. After trying each position press the last two to relock the doors and then try another number. If its a constant problem you can always replace the key pad.

mine tends to act up when it rains or when i just went through a car wash.

and speaking of replacement, how much is it retail? or if used, can I just pick one up from the junkyard or is it VIN specific?
