Hello to all. I'm new to this site. Nice place to hang out. My question is as follows. I just bought my second Expedition from a private sale. It's a 2000 XLT 4x4 5.4. The truck only has 79,000 showing on the clock. No rust whatsoever. Guy had it rustproofed. When I bought the truck, it was pointed out to me that the window lift will not pull the window down on the drivers door. It supposedly is making funny binding noises when activated. If you look at the4 top of the door frame above the window, it does not meet flush with the vehicle structure. I haven't tore into it yet, I just got the truck home yesterday from Boston area. Does this sound like a tweaked door frame or maybe the window has become mis-rigged and is causing the door frame to be jacked out of shape. I would say there is about a good 1/8" to 3/16" clearance between the upper door frame and the vehicle itself. Of course you can hear lots of wind noise going down the road. Sorry for the lengthy post. Jay.
PS: I made this post just thinking these Expo's may have a history of this. I did a Carfax, and it comes up clean and free of accidents. I have no reason to believe the truck has been hit. Although anything is possible.
