Have you checked your switch? You might need a new one. You can use a multimeter to test the pins for voltage if you know how, otherwise buy the motorcraft part SW7259 (14A701) for around $40. I had to replace mine not too long ago.
Be careful removing the buttons from the old switch as you will need to reinstall them on the new one.

Check the seat tracks with a small flashlight to see if any object (coins....) are wedged in them.
Excellent point. I forgot to mention to the OP that if you push the button you should hear the relay "tick" before the seat moves. If it ticks, but doesn't move then you likely have something jamming the rails/sliders. If it doesn't make a sound then the switch is bad.

It's good that the seat moves up, as that will help a lot if anything is stuck in the track. I had this happen on a vehicle (non-Expedition) with a coin stuck in the track. Needed to contort my hand and use long needle-nose pliers to get the coin out. Good luck.

My '04 sticks sometimes if you send the seat all the way to the back. The trick we learned is send it back, then bump it a head a tad and it never hangs up.

After reading these posts, it seamed obvious that I needed a new switch as the seat would do everything but go back. That tells me that the motor is good as I could here a click when I tried to move it forward. I had it so far forward that I couldn't drive it. I ordered one on Amazon for $19.56 total. I got it the next day and boom my seat works again. So happy as I hear it can cost $400 to fix at dealership. A few tips.......It only takes a few minutes to change the switch. Make sure you pull off the plastic cover under the front of the seat. There is one torx screw under there that needs to be removed to pull off the plastic cover with the seat controls on the left side. Pry off the seat adjuster switch and the lumbar knob to get it off, then slide it forward. You simply press down on the tab and pull the old switch out. Plug in the new one and your done! From there it took two minutes to put everything back together. FYI, I have an XLT, so it only has a six way adjustable seat and a manual lumber support knob.
