I'm posting this as a solution to a problem I had last year. Whenever it would get hot > 97 outside (pretty typical for SoCal) My engine and or cooling fan would seem to be screaming or howling and my Air was not working well. No repair people, including Ford, could find a problem except for a local mechanic. My radiator was totally clogged with bugs, debris and assorted other stuff from 10 years of highway driving. They took the engine plastic cowl off and gently vacuumed and hosed off the radiator and got rid of all the caked on debris. This solved the problem and it's like I have a new car again. If you do a lot of highway driving check to be sure there is nothing blocking your radiator or you might experience the howling sound and reduced performance.

Thats a lot of bugs..lol :boxed: Good tip!

Typically they are splattered all over the ac condensor as that is in the front. Maybe something was building a nest?!

Another possible cause of screaming fan is the fan clutch is locked up...
