Dear Ford Customers/owners im a new joinee to the list of ford owners and ford forums, i recently purchased expedition trition 4.6 xlt, that was in garrage for over heating. As per mechanic its due to water n oil mixing, its fixed now, its good. I would just like to know whats the NORMAL ENGINE HEAT/TEMPERATURE should be, as it is going almost 40-50 at just 6okm/hr in city traffic.

should be around 90C +/- (if stock/OEM thermostat = 195 degrees). It could certainly read lower or higher depending on the exterior temps and driving factors, but once the thermostat opens, should be pretty steady.

I'm not the expert, but only relaying what i've experienced in my '97.

Trying to ascertain where you are? SA=south america?
