Engine just quit running

I was driving my Expy on a residential street and the engine just stopped running. It has been running well for the last 2 years (previous issue was a COP needed replacing).

I stopped, put it in park, turned the key off, then started it again, no issues.

Should I be on the lookout for something imminent (like a fuel pump)?

OK, now I think I am on to something. Not sure why nobody had a recommendation for me on this one, but I am now throwing a P1450 Code (cannot bleed up pressure in fuel tank). Will start the normal troubleshooting that is recommended by other posts, but the "motor just shutting off" symptom seems to be a common one when the vacuum in the fuel tank cannot be relieved.

The most simple common reason for this (as I am reading the other threads) is that the canister relief hose, on the other side of a solenoid valve, can become obstructed with debris that needs to be cleared. There are about 4 other items to look at after that, but hopefully I won't have to go that far.

I will report back once I have an opportunity to dig in.

Rather than HOPEING you don't need to check those other 4 items I would take the time to check them so they don't come back and bite you

In other words CHECK the whole system to be sure

Monitors the fuel vapor vacuum and pressure in the fuel tank. The system failure occurs when the EVAP running loss monitor detects excessive fuel tank vacuum with the engine running (but not at idle).

• Blockages or kinks in EVAP canister tube or EVAP canister purge outlet tube (between fuel tank, EVAP canister purge valve and EVAP canister)
• Fuel filler cap stuck closed (no vacuum relief)
• Contaminated fuel vapor elbow on EVAP canister

• Plugged CV solenoid filter
• EVAP canister purge valve stuck open
• VREF circuit open (harness near FTP sensor, FTP sensor or PCM)
