So last summer my radiator blew up. Thank god was in a parking lot. Installed a new radiator no issues except for that bottom 1/8 turn quick disconnect hose if you have done one you know what I'm talking about.
So after I replaced the radiator I noticed the engine was running cooler, instead of in the middle of the temp range of the gauge now it's about 1/4 colder, hasnt been a factor till we have gotten some cooler weather here in TX. I noticed my heat in the vehicle isn't hot hot it's just warm. And also don't know if this is related but on cold mornings the truck has a valve ping/slap like the timing is way off when I accelerate fast. Could this be a air versus coolant sensor issue and thermostat issue?
Thanks for your input.
