2019 Expedition Max - I've gone looking at error codes due to a ParkAssist fault on the sync display. A couple sensors/connections need looking at. More importantly the engine codes aren't great. Anybody have any experience to share on these? I also have an exhaust leak at the back end of the muffler which is a bit odd...I'm imagining a proper exhaust shop can just weld it back up even if a bit of cutting is required.

Engine
  • P02CA - Turbocharger 'B' Overboost condition
    • doesn't sound good, fixes appear to be inspection of wastegate and wiring, no idea what I'm looking for and not much conviction I'd figure it out
  • P2A9B - Alternative fuel tank select valve c control circuit low
    • no clue, this error appears to be for DEA or for tanks other than fuel
  • P3001 - Cylinder 1 misfire
    • coil/plug/wire?
  • P312A - Cylinder 5 High Pressure Injector Low Side Interturn Short Circuit or Circuit High
    • perhaps needs an injector?

Parking Sensors
  • B1B44 - Right Rear Outer Parking aid sensor
  • B1B50 - Rear Left Inner Parking aid sensor
    • potentially pretty simple

  • C0831 - Voltage issue in control module - may be suspension or stability control
    • battery needs replacing - 5 years old - easy fix
Overall, my thought is to change the battery because it needs doing anyway, check the parking sensor connections and reset the codes and see what appears. Or, should I just leave the codes there for the dealer to have a look at the engine issues.

Did you have a check engine light displayed? Or did you do a vehicle full scan and found all these random codes with just the part assist displayed on screen?

also, id leave the codes there ao the dealer can see them

Downloaded FORSCAN and received the following on the park assist. Given that all sensors are not responsive, can I assume this is a failure of the rear park assist module?
