Well it shut down on the highway a few times. This time got codes.
I am not sure the aftermarket are worth the price tag or not.
Here is a BBK for sale in the Turbo Ford FB group for $150.
Same code I got 2 years ago.
So my expedition is 73mm throttle body?
Pretty sure OEM TBs are 54mm the aftermarkets are 73mm or 80mm if memory serves correctly.
The 15-17 Expeditions share the TB with 11-16
Be advised for 2005+ vehicles, a larger throttle body may require a tune/calibration. May just wanna get an aftermarket one that is same size
The manufacturer said a tune isn't needed. I also called tech support and they said the same thing.
Whatever, it’s your truck that will suffer eventually
Also check for a recall. On the 2013's we had a recall for the transmission they had to reprogram it, it takes about an hour. It's some sensor in the transmission it throws the tranny into 1rst. Mine was doing this and the wrench would come on and acceleration was slow.
