Heavy thunder, rain and lightning. Used my key fob to lock her up and got nothing. Though I must have a door ajar so I went out and checked, all closed. Opened the driver's door and heard the "key in ignition chime" Thought "WTH" pulled my keys out of my pocket and started her up. All good. Shut her down, pulled my keys out, heater blower motor kicked on, clock lit up and she started chiming, still cant use the key fob to lock her up. Manual and keypad locks still work. Now what.........

Sounds like you have the typical gem/fuse block symptoms after water finds its way into it.

The gem module controls most of the interior items as well as other functions.

I had things stay on after I pulled ignition key which would end up killing the battery over several hours.

Link from when I had gem/fuse block issue.........http://www.expeditionforum.com/f16/interesting-issue-14336/

I had the same problem my expy tried starting by it self with no key in ignition I thought there was a ghost in it (lol) it turned out my windshield was leaking when it rained. Turns out this effected many years I believe from 97 to 2002. Thank GOD I caught it before it wiped my gem module
