Well, there are two problems I see here. My truck is an '03, an early '03: like probably the first built in 03(Jan, 03.) I do not have any kind of stability or traction control, second problem is that apparently my 4lo doesn't work at all. When I switched to it, nothing changed, abd no different lights besides the 4x4 which was already on came on. So that's a fix that's probably going to cost me some dang money.

I have 2003 EB and in order for it to switch to 4x4 low I need to have it in neutral AND MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. First time I needed 4x4 low it would not engage either, got manual out and guess what. Hope that's all it is.

When my ex's F150 (2002) was stuck rails-deep in mud 4Lo would not engage no matter WHAT we did. I wondered if driveline alignment or something prevented it. Maybe that affected things, too?
