Expy re-sell prices are high

  1. Maybe it the low cost of gas.
  2. Maybe the new model is, too expensive..
  3. The lack of new body on frame SUVs in the market is surprisingly low.
  4. Reliability is very high on Expys too.
The prices on re-sell Expys are up!

The resale value of all vehicles is high. A few months ago I (easily) got $2,600 for my 15-year-old Mountaineer despite significant rust on the rockers, rear quarters, and liftgate. That was only $7K less than I paid for it in 2006.

I am still seeing $20k range for third gens with over 140k miles.

That's still pretty general. I'd like to see a distribution of prices against features such as V8 v. V6, towing, 3rd row seating, load leveling, etc...
