I was pulling into work today and when I hit the rough entrance the gas pedal became completely unresponsive and the brake became stiff. I could run through all of my gears fine. What seemed to fix the problem was I simply turned off the ignition and restarted it and everything was functional again. The best way I can think to describe the experience is that it went into shock. (2001 Eddie Bauer 5.4L 2WD)
