Does anybody out there know of any body that makes a drivers side seat track extension? I checked the one company I've found on the internet, but all they list is for the Ford escape. As you can probably gather from my user name, I'm a big guy. 6'2, over 300lbs. If anyone knows of a company or individual out their that makes one, it would be appreciated. Thanks Moose.

I had decent success moving the seat up on machined stanchions combined with longer bolts to get more seat height. This wasn't on an Expedition though so can't speak to the practicalities. Just anpther possible option if you are long of leg instead of torso.

Thanks, I'll look into that. Would be nice if some one made a track with multiple bolt locations, so all you had to do was use holes further back. Probably comes down to a legal problem. I'm tall and thick enough, don't want to raise seat anymore. Expeditions and f150's only have 41 1/2 inches. Mercedes g350 has 50 inches legroom. Wouldn't it be nice to have about 44 to 45. My arms are 38 inches long, so reaching the wheel isn't an issue. Thanks again for advice.

You can get different tracks for other vehicles. Sometimes designed for OEM seats, sometimes for aftermarket, Buddy Club rails for the S2000 comes immediately to mind.

I'm guessing there is not much call for that with the Ford trucks though. You'd be looking at custom I'd guess. Most shops won't touch it due to liability. Hell, back in the early 90s before I learned to weld I couldn't even get a shop to relocate my bumpers after I did a body lift. Good times.

Yeah I was thinking maybe a different ford track might have the bolt holes set further back where they bolt to seat. Wouldn't it be nice if seats were like cam gears, giving different positions to mount. Short, medium, tall. Ah in a perfect world!
