I love mine.... I didn't install this one.. but did on my 97 f150... was some work but thats why I have friends that are a lot more skilled than I am... I wouldn't attempt it unless your pretty good at turning wrenches... cuz on my f150 at one point the T-case was on the floor... but if your gonna spend some big $$ go with fabtech but if you wanna go cheaper I would look into http://zoneoffroad.com/product?ki=309&gr=-1 a lot cheaper than fabtech... I saw there work last year at a jamboree and the lift looks solid...

I would like to get one but not with the expedition I have now. It has some high mileage and there isn't anything but flat lands down here. It doesn't look too complicated, just the fact I don't have an actual lift for the vehicle.

Sounds like what I will be doing this weekend lol. I wouldn't mind a susp lift just to install it myself. It would just seem rewarding to do it myself...plus its like 800 dollars for an install down here. It's outrageous!

I have done the lift in question on a 4x2 F-150 and a 4x4 F-150. I have also installed the Rancho kit on my Expedition. If you do it yourself, plan on spending atleast 12 hours wrenching on the truck. When I did my Expedition (my first attemp at a lift like this), I got it done in 16 hours. But that was attempting to do things 100%. The biggest issue will actually be with the back end of your truck because there is a single bolt that is put in backwards and to get the bolt out, you have to drop the fuel tank. I ended up taking a sawzall to that bolt and the kit I got came with new bolts, so, I installed the bolt the other way. I did the Rancho kit using a full lift and that made things very nice. But, all of the other kits I have done were with nothing more than some jackstands and a jack. If you want to know more, let me know. At one time I had a page with what all it took to do the lift. BUt, due to not maintaining the page, it has gotten deleted over the years. BUt, I still have the pics. FUnny seeing the truck with most of the cross members removed.

That bolt is for the trailing arm on the driver side, just in case someone that hasn't torn their rear suspension apart yet doesn't have a clue.
