The 22s were crummy in the compact snow and ice, and I like separate wheels for winter anyway, so I found some 18" takeoffs and wrapped them in new snow tires. The Expedition is now a tank in the snow! We got 16" of snow fall just this past week, so I took the Expi out in the back acreage and tried to get it stuck. These tires and the locking rear axle made easy work of it in even the worst spots. The wheels look nice, but definitely more "truck-ish" than when the 22s are on. I'm sure the ride will be much smoother too, with that tall sidewall.

Question for anyone with the XLT or factory 18s - what PSI is factory recommended? I'd be shocked if it were 39 PSI like what's recommended on my 22s.

Video of you trying to get it stuck would be cool... :)
Yeah, that would happen only if I had my wife out there with a camera. Hahaha!
That's not an option because she wasn't happy with the idea of even testing the Expedition. I'm just glad she didn't watch or go with me.
