i know the bulb is diffrent. its an hid bulb. but the harness on the ballast looks like a 9006 connection. the bulb turns into the headlight housing.so the dr1 bulb or whatever its callede doesnt have the same footprint as a 9006?

Not to question the guys installing the higher wattage HIDs, but if you are worried about the cops giving you a hard time, those are not the bulbs to get. They can get very bright and while they light up the world for you, they also light up the world for everyone else. The "bug light syndrome" seems to come to mind here.

freeway did you notice a big diffrence between the 2?

yes/no because i went from OEM headlights to projectors...i liked how the OEM w/HIDs lit up the world...drivers didnt have a problem until i pulled up behind them off center and my headlight beamed right into the side view mirror...that and if i was far enough back i would shine right into there rear view mirror...i would just pull up close to eleviate that prob...

projectors focused my light more...i like that part...put the light on the road...but i missed having everything in my periffial light up as well...then i have some aiming issues but i'm cool with it....
