Fan question

I have a 01 5.4 and i have a question about my stock fan well my fan have a bunch of broken blads on it but would that cause me truck to virbrate at idle and what not?

It very well could. Every item on an internal combustion engine is designed to work together. One of the reasons they make an engine 8 cylinders is for balance. Does your engine vibrate under load when your accelarating? Or is just at idle? You definitely want to change your fan, and fan clutch. In slow or stopped traffic, the fan helps cool your engine. Start with the new fan and clutch fan first.

It will cause vibration since the fan is no longer balanced. It will also shorten the water pump bearing life for the same reason. And lastly the remaining parts of the fan may decide to "leave the building". Not something you want to happen.

Well yeah it vibrates at idle and also a little while driving mostly noticable while idleing. Inthought it was caused by a vaccum or something so i recently changed intaket manifold egr dfpp iac selenoid tps valve cover gasket etc

So but the fan would cause vibration then also would it be better if i changad the stock one or just do a e-fan setup

Easier to stay stock, probably cheaper also.

Ok might just find search around for a fan but still thinking is it better to change to fan clutch also or just the fan? And is there a write up on a e-fan install? Ive searched but really havent found something that was 100% helpful

Unless your running a high horsepower setup, which from what you've wrote, I'm assuming your not. Stick with a stock fan and fan clutch. They should be available aftermarket, if you don't want to go dealer items. Just buy a quality part.

Oh another question if i change the fan/clutch should i just go ahead and change the water pump
