I have a stock 2002 Expedition XLT 4x4 and I am recieving what I think is some kind of electrical feedback noise. It goes in and out when I'm cruising at steady speeds in town and on the freeway. Sounds like a high pitch whining noise but as soon as I apply more gas and change the speed it goes away. Has anybody else dealt with this issue. It's not hurting any performance that I can tell but it's extremely aggrevating.

STOP Whining......

I believe I am experincing the same noise. For me it only happens when I have the heat on . It's like a whistle / whining noise, and much like you described goes away with a mild tap or push on the accelerator.
I think it has something to do with the airducts under the hood, If I have my window down and it whines it is quite loud outside of the vehicle.
Sorry this is not a reply for a fix, but rather a quest for more information to correct this annoyance.
