Just putting this out there, but what do you guys think of fibreglass fenders.
I'm thinking of some for the front, but do think they work in real world of daily driving and winter in Ontario? I like the Baja Truck look but not sure what's the best way to get there, no plans to actually race :( so I thought fenders are next. Any company I should look at or stay away from? Or is this just a crazy idea

IMO i think your truck looks good the way it is. It looks nice and clean. The fiberglass flared fenders would just mess up the look of your truck.

i think they look retarded! our truck just doesnt look that great with them. if i get a chance, there is a guy on my base that has them, i will try to snap a pic or two with my phone. then again, that is just my opinion. i think some vics (like rangers and yotas) look good with fiberglass, not something like f150/250 and expeditions.

I had a set to put on my current truck of Fiberwerx 4.5" bulge fenders. Got them used but they looked like good quality and I was told they fit fairly well.

IMO they look silly on stock or lifted trucks(4-6" and above). They also look silly with stock width suspension and wheels(more important than height). I have a spindle lift and aftermarket wheels which widen the track width to fill the fenders out.

If you are going to get them you need the whole package or they look out of place. Its hard to describe but there is a specific dessert/gofast look so if you have a aggressive street truck or a mudding/backwoods truck look I don't think it works.

i will agree with all of that Max! i guess i should clarify, i am not against them in certain applications when done right. but they have no place on an SUV, especially one as large as ours

I'd probaly get the 6" lift and dump the 3"BL also get 37" tires but I'm just throwing this out there for discussion. I like the input

I like the look on a truck but not on a expedition.... but when I had my 97 f150 I was going to get a set but my friend that owns a body shop said he didn't have much luck with fiberglass lasting in the winter... paint was prone to spider webbing... thats why I didn't do it..

they look nice. but its taking your truck a different direction. As mad max said the whole look or it does look out of place. id say keep yours the way it is and then get another expy and go for the desert look.

I had fiberglass rear quarter panels on my old scout and we had to put a bunch of flex agent in the paint to keep it from cracking.

i just dont like the way it looks. but i am used to the traditional lift/big tires combo where i am from. we are mud runners, not desert. i like the aggressive look of lift/tires that i do not think desert setups accomplish, at least IMO. but, to each his/her own.

wide fenders may not be practical if you drive down narrow roads like two-tracks or such. gonna break some stuff for sure.

First one looks mean but that's the whole package. The second one is more halfway there and looks a little out of place.

like i said panda, to each his own. i know some of you desert boys dont like our mud runner setups but thats okay too. every rig/driver has their own purpose. i just think the prerunner looks funny on a full-bodied vehicle like an SUV. trucks not so bad (some i even like) but just cant bite on the SUV...i still like you tho panda! HAHA

I guess I'll just stick with what look I've got now ...just make it a pretty show rig. :pepper::pepper::pepper: Since there is no desert here and the mud pits have turned into housing sub-divsions.:shrug:
