Hey there,
I recently did the first oil change/filter and for those who DIY thought I’d send out a few thoughts and info. I’m new to the Expedition, coming from a F150, and there are some differences. Couldn’t find any good 2025 pics or info.

Oil pan/drain plug is not covered with the fabric piece(fabric piece forward of pan). However the drain route for the oil filter is still located in the center of skid plate/fabric portion(through a small rectangular hole).

I replaced my plug with a Fumoto, however it is exposed so I’m contemplating this setup. Perhaps there is an aftermarket skid plate for the oil pan? , Tremor piece should bolt up?

The filter access is similar and more difficult than the F150. Such a poor design for a regular maintenance item. I found this product on another forum, F150genIV?, so all the credit to that gentleman. Filter removal piece from Motivx and it is indispensable, almost required to get the filter off(and it fits the original factory filter as well).

I sent a sample off for analysis, 720 miles. Oil was surprisingly dirty considering the mileage, about 5-6 months old.

Thanks. I used the 107SX, for the adjustable, rotational ability. I want the option to “point” the oil flow into the jug. There are a few more options on the market that others like as well. Zero leaks/drips after install, however DO NOT over torque. I also use the supplied plastic lock clip.
