Hi:

We have a 2023 Timberline which we love.

However, for about a year, I've noticed a "malalignment" when it tries to stitch the images together from the 4 cameras. This is most pronounced when pulling into a parking spot with highly visible lines. The lines on the pavement "jump" and exhibit a "step-off" at the junctions between different cameras fields of view.

How does one fix this?

Thanks!

You can easily calibrate the 360 camera system with an IPMA calibration procedure in FORScan. All you need is a parking lot with well painted parking spots to do it.

Thanks for your input!

I think I will ask the dealer to do it the next time the vehicle is in, but now at least I know what to ask: "calibrate the 360 camera system with an IPMA calibration procedure in FORScan".

Best wishes.

The dealer does not use FORScan. They can run the same calibration procedure with FDRS which is Ford's proprietary software. FORScan is for regular people like you and me who don't want to have to depend on the dealer for silly stuff like this that you can do yourself.

I would get a price from your dealer first. You may be shocked at how much they will charge you.

Perhaps I should invest the time and $$$ in learning how to use FORscan.

Thanks for the heads up.

A FORScan cable is $30 and a year long license for FORScan is $12. Assuming you already have a windows based laptop, it's very inexpensive to get.
