I want to do my expy and my wifes new explorer. How much should I use per car and how often?I love the stuff and swear by it. Never dries and leaves a fluid film as it says and it’s laonin based (wool fur oil). I spray my undercarriage with it does great at protection from salt and moisture. It keeps oxygen from reacting with the metal effectively haulting the corrosion process.
Is this a DIY coating or something a shop needs to do.
We have lots of Salt and that nasty Salt Brine liquid that seems to eat undercarriages alive no matter how quickly you get it washed after the stuff is off the road.
How frequently does it need to be reapplied?
I watched the video on the FluidFilm websiteHere in central NY's rust belt, I do my 2007 twice a year, in the fall before winter and again in the spring. ......
You make a good point. I'm thinking about letting a company do it because the mechanics at my wife's shop said these guys are good and would get places that I probably wouldn't hit.I buy Fluid Film by the 5 gallon pail for around $150. Use about 3 quarts per vehicle. All you need is an air compressor and the Fluid Film sprayer kit for about $90. You can buy at a Napa Auto Parts or online. It needs to be done at least once a year in the fall twice is better so why pay someone else $$$ ? Plus you do it yourself and know it was done right.
been using it on aircraft for over 30 years,I love the stuff and swear by it. Never dries and leaves a fluid film as it says and it’s laonin based (wool fur oil).
