fog light wire colors

im going to get rid of my bumper and make my own. and i like fog lights. i have these hella fog lights that were on my brush guard but the guy didnt want them. so i kept them. they are already wired 1 red and 1 black. so when i make my new bumper i was going to wire those in its place. what color is power and which is ground?

on the stock fog lights? i know that on my hellas. but i guess i should look at the wiring first. just thought i would ask first.

It seems on the 2000 Expys, it's the TN/OG (tan/orange?) for +, black for -.

Regardless, you should always measure with a multimeter to verify. As a side note, the hellas are 55W, right? The stock fogs are what, 45W? I should technically be fine to run them in there straight up, though I wouldn't put anything larger than 55W in there. If you do, run a relay.

okay ill runn check them before running them. and yeah its a 55W i think. i got the lights with the brush guard. so i cant be sure. but okay thanks.

If youre just going to run the hellas thru the factory fog lamp harness, the polarity woudnt matter. You can wire them any other way
