Back in 2011 I bought an edge sport I had it 6 months before I found out it had remote start. Lok
Honestly, I blame the dealership for that. I declined the detailed walk-through because I knew most of the features already based on YouTube videos and this forum.
When we bought my mother-in-law her new Subaru, they did a detailed walk-through. Showed her how to set up CarPlay, how to remote start, remote open trunk, turn on the lights, where the jack was, etc.
They were both different dealerships, but the commonality was that they were both "small town" ones. Not the mega-ones where you are a dime a dozen customer. It is the little things that I like about where we got our vehicles from. Her sales person still calls every once in a while to check up on my MIL and see if there are any questions she needs answered. My salesman, not so much, but he understood that I knew about the vehicle better than he did.
