Ford Pass App - New Version

Has anyone else tried the new version of the Ford Pass App? I had a button appear to beta test it about 2-3 days ago. Functionality seemed fine, although things are all moved around and reorganized.

But a huge whiff is that I cannot find anywhere to log your own maintenance any more. I don’t know if they just haven’t pulled that in yet, or if they are considering deleting that. I also could no longer find links to your warranty information, scheduled service recommendations, or the vehicle manual. But losing the ability to log your own maintenance would be a huge loss of function. I hope that doesn’t happen.

I’m posting this somewhat to try to encourage other people that may also be inclined to use this feature on here to give Ford that feedback if you agree. Probably 95% of people service at the dealer and don’t care about that.

I just got my '23 Limited SPP in March and have been using Ford Pass. I could not find where to look for software version information. Did you find a version #? I like the organization of the app and like the interface, but still a bit uncomfortable with the entire electronic dependance of my machine.

I tried new version and found it doesn't have a lot of features with the old version. So, I switched back. I can't say Ford software development is a joke, but I think it is very close to.

My FordPass interface is what OP posted although I don't have the "Enter New FordPass" though. The current format works perfectly for me. Ford, please don't mess it up!!!

Note that this is a beta test build that not everyone will be selected to try (I don't have it available and neither does my wife). I'm sure it isn't the final product release and the missing features may be added at a later time.

Correct. That is what I am hoping to. They are looking for feedback on the layout. I VERY much like the slide to start vs press and hold.

Yeah, I like the new UI. I’m not seeing a spot for submitting feedback on the app… am I missing it?

Juse showed up on my phone to upgrade to....Ford Pass. Planning to ignore for know. Leary about losing my upgrades and Maintenance performed with my own entries. Any concern by others?

I had that a couple weeks ago. The lack of the searchable user manual was a no-go to me.

Also, they really need to show current door lock state on there. My BMW app has been doing this since 2014.

I downloaded the PDF of the online Owners Manual, and saved it on both my phone and tablet, its easier to read on the tablet.

Well.. The new ver 5.0 got pushed to Play Store so now I'm stuck with it :confused:

I used my iPad to test today's release and then figured there is no roll-back feature. Luckily, I still have the old version on my iPhone.

Went to use the app today. It's the new version, and no way to go back to the old one, like before. Oh well. At least it's free as opposed to some other brands....especially on my 6 YO truck! Thanks for that, Ford!

First time on the new version for me too. Looks like I lost reward points and tire pressure. Vehicle Health (whatever that is) on the service page indicates "Temporarily Unavailable". Maybe tire pressure and oil life will reside here someday.
